I can't recall the last time I updated my Blogger, but I'm confident it's way overdue. How is life, you ask? Why, life is interesting - yes, interesting; the only word that could somewhat capsulate what it's truly been like.
So much has changed over the last few months - or year; again, not sure when the last update was - and these situational changes have, in turn, become personal changed within myself.
Band has most definitely made it's share of changes within the last several months. Let me elaborate: the direction of the band has been turned over to a man named Mathakul (not his full last name, mind you; I'll save you the seizure of pronouncing the rest of it), who at first made us returnees quite pessimistic, but proved to be an excellent director. I'm not sure about everyone else, but he inspires me to continue with music in college; much more than Kea did (not to say that Kea wasn't an inspiration to me; all directors inspired me one way or another).
One of the more obvious updates in my life is that as of three weeks ago, I officially became a Senior at school. Although powerful that title, along with it comes plenty of responsibilities that, in order to be successful and set for post-high school, MUST be taken care of immediately. And that's my challenge. Aside from the high school demands, I'm also, as of now, struggling to find a job to pay for my Europe trip in the summer.
This year will most definitely be a challenge.
I'm sure I'll get through, though. :)
Until next time... ♥

April Updates
Hey guys, sorry it's been months since my last real update. I've been thinking about lots of things, and just never found time to put it up on here.
So here's the layout:
I turned 17 and am beginning to drive, basically. Typical teen stuff, yes I know. I ended up going to the All-American Rejects concert again, which was cool, followed by the Journey concert, which tops AAR any day. AP English course is almost over, as is the rest of my junior year. I realized that certain friends aren't really what they say they are, and I've been relieved of baby-sitting a 22-year-old (finally!). I still maple, that's for sure (lol). AP exam and SATs are coming up, so I've been studying for that. Hm, and I've also been selected to go to Europe by the Hawaii All-State Marching Band coordinator on the Ambassador's Trip. I'm so excited! ^___^ My second band trip~! <3 <3 <3
That's all for now.

The Return
Hello everybody, I am back from... well, being away. Hehe.
It's terrible how I had abandoned this blog for a bit, I know. I apologize.
Here, let me fill you in on what's been going on.
So the Hawaii All-State Marching Band trip began on Christmas and ended nine days afterwards. We stayed at Knotts Berry Farm Resort Hotel, which was, as Rosie puts it, "the. bomb!" Lol. Students were prohibited from using elevators and were directed to the stairs while accompanying guests were allowed to use those... contraptions... ._. In the long-run, it was good for us. Strengthened our leg muscles and helped build our endurance. I imagine guests gained weight on those elevators after breakfast while we all burned it off. :)
Bandfest was only two days after we arrived, which was AMAZING. Songs performed include Tahiti-Tahiti, Bula "Drums of the Island", I'll Remember You, Pate-Pate, and Hawaii Five-O. The neat thing about Hawaii Five-O was that Payton, the director, would count off "One two three," and scream "ROCK!" at the end and we'd all do the Twist. :) I have videos of it. I should show you. I'm currently in the process of ordering the DVD.
After that was the parade. Well, not immediately after, but several days following was the Big Day. We were in the middle of the Marine band, one of the best in the nation, and the USC marching band. (YEAH GO USC! ^__^y) That tells me we had to live up to some pretty big expectations. And we did. <3 Go HASMB! Well, the parade was only two hours which wasn't so bad. We ended up marching in some major horse shit. No seriously, we stepped in horse crap a lot. A lot a lot. Lol. Good fun!
My trip, overall, was a big bundle of fun. Got to go to theme parks and Medieval Times... Oh, all those trips to those places deserve a paragraph! Urgh, too lazy. Oh well, I'm sure you don't want to know EVERYTHING. ^___^ Well, I ended up befriending majority of my section and some others when I was a filler for missing trumpets and saxes. Namedrop: Russell, Jasmine, Ama, Rachel, Megan, Mike, Kim, Alena, and Christina. Not to mention closer bonding with Karllyn, Kiana, Dorian, Tony, and Robert. :)
I've been back for a while already. School started up yesterday, and already I can tell this semester is going to be the shit. I have photography, algebra II, Japanese I, and, of course, AP English/Advisory. Good fun! Wish me luck in math, BECAUSE I HAVE MRS. BREEZE. ;)

It's Been a While, Friends.
Hey everyone, sorry for my prolonged absence.
Most of you already know that I've been working on chemistry - and it worked!
I went from an F to a D.
Huzzah...
Moreso, I've been on other websites and games; Gaia and MapleStory, but more FaceBook than anything else.
I'll try to blog a little more now that the end of school is coming up in three days.
So I have new neighbors, and they're called the Bondocs. ;o
What I've dreamed of so long ago has actually happened!
Jeez, I only wish it happened then. I have no true interests whatsoever now!
Well, now that Aj is back for winter holiday, I guess that means we actually get to hang out before I leave for Pasadena...
...which is in nine days, by the way.
I've successfully switched out of AP chem, and in turn I'm taking Photography and Japanese I (not like I need I, I probably need II). Second semester shouldn't be so stressful unless I have major math issues, and the likeliness of that is... hm, perhaps a 99.9% chance. Tahahaha.
I need to get started on my portfolio for graphics. Seeya.

Graphics Drama Club!
Haha, I walked into Graphics today to hear Kiara ranting about her boyfriend who supposedly wants to have relations with other girls.
Sue and I are just laughing our asses off.
Ahh, good fun. Good fun.
Really makes you wonder...
"Why does Lina dislike Sue? DX"
Haha, oh well.
Moving on.

Canned Food Goodness
Ha, so I walked to school today with a giant bag of canned goods for a canned food drive.
Lina wants to provide awesome-sauce for the less-fortunate homies for their Thanksgiving.
I was thinking about this as well... and how in Elementary the only reason children bring canned food is because their teachers offer extra credit for it.
I don't think people should be bribed with extra points to do good. They should do good just because.
And we know... that the world doesn't generally work that way.
And from this point of view, it sounds all rainbows and sunshine.
But that's the way I'd like to see good deeds being done: from the good of one's heart.
Which is why I brought A LOT of canned food. :D
And because I know no one else will be bringing. ._.
Greedy bastards.
Teehee, I woke up at 7am today. That's a whole hour late!
I ended up leaving the house around 7:30, went to 7-Eleven to get my lunch (since mama didn't make for me today)
and got to school at 8:10.
Relatively good timing considering I made two stops.
And stopped frequently as well... damned shoe laces and canned food... ._.
So I'm mapling again. What is this, the fourth time I've revived my love for maple?
Gahhh. Anyways. Shoku is still level 47, almost 48.
Yonsai is ALMOST 53. She's at 80%.
I ought to learn to PQ. Seriously.
Oh. Btw.
Sabers stole White Division Championship.
Campbell 28, Radford 14
Good game, Radford. Good game. :3
Next game is next Friday. Be ready, band. OIA rules no longer apply.
Half time is now ours.
Today's plan:
-Lunch, Donate canned food; Tackle Chem homework
-Afterschool, see Mrs. Young for...
*AP Chem change
*Required classes checkup & Scheduling

Comparison
Ha, so I was browsing through some of my older blog entries and found one with my predicted schedule.
Wow, I knew so little of what was coming my way pertaining to school. ._.
Compare:
Predicted Classes:
Graphics Tech 1&2 (one per semester)
AP Lit&Comp (one per semester)
Advisory (all year)
Alg II (all year)
Band (all year, DUH!)
Actual Classes:
2: Graphics Tech I
4: AP Lit (whole year)
4: Advisory (All year)
?: Alg II (second semester)
5: Band (all year)
3: Honors Chem (first semester)
1: US History (first semester)
2008-2009 Schedule Overview
1US Hist 1 ??
2Graphics 2 Math
3Chem 3 ??
4AP Lit 4 AP Lit
Periods for second semester aren't for sure, but I have two open slots. That means I have the opportunity to take a language (probably) and Psyche. In turn, I'd probably only have to take Japanese II my senior year. Ha, I really need to talk to Mrs Young about this. ;p I'm all doing this on my own without any professional aspect.
Btw, I got a 3.5 / 4 on my school-wide writing essay. That's very good, considering I scored higher than the smartest girl in my Graphics class. She got a 3. ;p
